STATES OF ALIGNMENT
Pablo Ozo

11–14 June 2026
515 Victory Hall, Bangkok

States of Alignment is the first solo exhibition in Bangkok by Pablo Ozo (b. 2000, Galicia).
Eighteen new works in oil and charcoal that map the slow collapse between making and being.

The figures in Ozo's paintings rarely appear alone. Faces gather, arms intertwine, bodies merge and emerge from each other across the surface. Drawn first in charcoal, then built up in flesh-toned oil, they carry the trace of every decision the artist made on the way to them — the sketch, the hesitation, the gesture repeated until it became right.

What this body of work proposes is a quieter idea than radical figuration: that there is no longer a separation between the artist and the person, between the studio and the day. The brushstroke and the breath become the same act. To paint, here, is to live aligned.

Curated by Cristina Alonso.
Presented with Pranai Phornprapha.

    Biography

    Born 2000.
    Lives in Madrid, Spain.

Based in Madrid, with formative years spent between Berlin and the Atlantic coast where he was born, Pablo Ozo has developed a recognizable pictorial language built on a singular tension: hybrid figures suspended between refinement and instinct, a sustained negotiation between social legibility and the older, slower currents of desire. Working in oil and charcoal, his practice constructs what might be called an emotional portraiture: the painting of inner weather rather than outward likeness.

By twenty-five, Ozo’s work has been exhibited in Madrid, Berlin, Paris and London, and is held in private collections across Europe, Asia and the Americas, hanging alongside works by Yayoi Kusama, Jaume Plensa and Daniel Arsham. He has developed long-term creative partnerships with international institutions including Four Seasons, where he has been a recurring artistic collaborator, and with the Aldebarán Collection.

States of Alignment marks his first exhibition in Asia and the most ambitious body of work he has presented to date. A second international presentation follows in Shenzhen later in 2026, with additional projects in development across Asia and the Middle East.
